Local Global is a creative studio documenting, preserving, and celebrating African communities around the world through design, photography, publishing, events, and creative direction. Based between Toronto and Lagos, the studio exists to connect local talent with global audiences while making every place feel a little more like home.
I designed the brand identity, icon system, and website, creating a visual language that could grow alongside the studio as it expanded into books, talks, events, and other community initiatives. The pixel-inspired wordmark and iconography reflect the digital spaces where cultures intersect, allowing the identity to feel cohesive across both physical and digital experiences.
For the second phase of the project, I collaborated with Valerie Toritse and Esther Ndep to bring the website to life. Together, we designed an experience that makes it easy to explore the studio's work while showcasing its growing collection of projects, publications, and services.
